Krista Dixon was awarded All-Freshman Team honors in Women's Basketball by the SSAC Conference last night. Dixon was second in scoring for the Lady Bears at 7.8 points a game. She led the Bears in rebounds per game with an average of 4.4.
Dixon played high school basketball for Rabun County High School in nearby Clayton Georgia. The all-freshman team awardgoes to the top players in their freshman season across the entire SSAC Conference which consists of 14 colleges and universities all over the Southeastern United States.
Head Coach Matt Sanders is proud of his young player. "Krista came to us as a very sought after local player who had tremendous potential. She had to work through some rough spots but has been a bright spot and an awesome addition for our team," Sanders said.
