After a recruiting road with a few twists and turns TMC Head Men's Basketball Coach Wade Mawdesley, was able to sign what he feels is an impact player for the next two years.

"We are very excited to have a player with the ability level of Faibein.  He is a tremendous athlete and an even better young man."

It was an interesting road for both player and coach to arrive at this point.   The coaching staff first heard about Faibein from his high school coach at Ridge Community High School in Davenport Florida.  "My assistant, Coach Aric, was there recruiting a player when Coach Skipper said he had another player we should take a look at.  At first we didn't know what to think because we had never heard of him before."  It did not take long however for Coach to pick up the trail and bring Faibein in for a visit, and the rest is history.

For Faibein the story has even more twists and turns.  After graduating from Ridge Community High School in 2008 he went to Polk Community College in Florida just to go to school and then transferred the next year to play at Gordon College in Barnesville Georgia.  After playing there for one year things did not work out as planned and he found himself just going to school at Georgia Gwinnett College.  After having opportunities to play at several NCAA schools Faibein got a call from Coach Mawdesley about coming for a visit to Truett.

"The first thing that caught my eye was that Truett is a small school with a family atmosphere," Faibein said.  "The coaching staff treated me like one of their own and I knew they would take care of me.  Coach Wade really took time with my parents and they were very impressed and comfortable with the situation."

When asked what his outlook for his playing career was at Truett, Faibein replied, "I am just looking forward to winning and having fun with my teammates and coaches as we pursue a championship at Truett"

Coach Mawdesley has a similar outlook on the next few years.  "Faibein is the kind of athlete and young man we are looking for at TMC.  He is a great player and a true leader on and off the court.  We are blessed and excited to have him."
