After spending the last four years as the Head Golf Coach at Piedmont College in Demorest Ga, Dusty Rogers is returning home to take the helm of the Golf program at TMC.

When asked what drew him back Coach Rogers said "I still live in Cleveland and this is home."  Rogers also was drawn to the Mission of TMC.  "The main thing I wanted as a coach was to be in a place where I can minster to players as well as coach them," Rogers said.  The mission of TMC is something that Coach Rogers knows well as he was a student here for two years.

Roger's roots in the local area go deep.  He grew up in Cleveland and graduated from White County High School.  He then spent two years as a student at TMC before moving on to Piedmont College where he would receive his Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Geology.                           .

Rogers began his coaching career as the previous coach at TMC from 05-06 before moving on to Piedmont where he was an assistant coach for two years before taking over as head coach of the program.  While at Piedmont Rogers led the program to many great accomplishments including the school's first ever women's golf top 25 ranking and having a team ranked inside the top 30 in the NGCA/GolfWorld Coach's poll for the past two years. Coach Rogers was also awarded the 2011 Great South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Rogers is excited about the potential the TMC golf program has to offer.  He feels the program is on solid footing particularly on the men's side.  "Our men's team has the talent right now to be competitive.  Golf at the college level is different from the high school level and once we teach these young men how to adjust we will see some great things."

Rogers is ready to improve on a good core of golfers on the ladies team.   One of his main focuses initially will be to begin to improve the competitiveness of the team.  "We need to raise our level of talent on the ladies team and that will be top priority for me as we move into next year," Coach said.

Coach Rogers is married to his wife Kim of six years and they have two children, Emma 4, and Owen 1.
