The Truett-McConnell Women's cross country team competed at the Mercer RunFit Invitational on Saturday, as the Bears placed 12^th overall at the event.

Brittany Wells was TM's top finisher as she posted a time of 21:54 for a 55^th place finish. TM's Hannah Barnes was the next best finisher for the Bears as she finished 77^th with a time of 22:35. Savannah Carteee placed 78^th with a time of 22:36 and was followed closely by Lauren Tosky who placed 80^th with a time of 22:40.  

"It was a good start for us in Macon," commented TM Head Cross Country Coach Jarret Holland. "We ran pretty well considering this was our first 5k of the season. We're going to have to continue to improve in practice and eventually that will transfer over to our performances on Saturday. Every week should be a step forward for us as a unit as long as we continue to work hard during the week."

TM will play host to several teams this weekend at the Truett-McConnell Invitational.
