Truett McConnell Bears
Men's Soccer - Sat, Oct. 13, 2012

The men's Bears team of Truett-McConnell met the William Carrie University Crusaders on the soccer field today for a match that ended at 3-1, with the Bears holding it at a tie until the Crusaders came out and scored two points to win the game.

The teams battled for half an hour, aiming to be the first to put a point on the board. The Crusaders won the race, but coming back after halftime, Nils Conway scored the Bear's first and only goal of the game. Ten minutes later, the Crusaders scored their second goal, followed by their third in three short minutes.

Tempers flared and hearts pumped as the teams continued the fight for the victory, but the Bears were not able to beat the clock. Neither team scored again, and the Crusaders came away with the win.

The Bears will be in action again on Saturday at 4:30 when they will take on #5 ranked Belhaven at home in Cleveland.
